Because my opinion counts too.

The only time you’ll see David Tennant on my blog.

The Ninth Doctor is my favorite. For some reason my sister and I referred to the Tenth Doctor as “Chicken Man”, I think we were upset because he replaced Christopher.

I completely understand why you and and your sister came up with “Chicken Man” and you aren’t the first to notice the avian quality:

So true.

It’s his gizzard of an addams apple

For me….it’s that beak like nose and lack of lips.

I bet the ostrich can act better than he can.  Mr. Screamy McShoutypants shoves his head in the proverbial business sand again.  Can you say “Rex Is Not My Lawyer”?

Christopher Eccleston vs David Tennant vs Matt Smith

nymian:

This is kinda a weird post… So, I started really watching Doctor Who in the Tennant Era, when he was travelling with Donna. Before that, I had seen one episode (The Empty Child) and it frankly scared the absolute shit out of me.

Hear me out.

So, having watched one episode before this, the good Doctor never really crossed my mind again until I started dating my now-ex boyfriend. He reintroduced me to the Doctor, the series, and I wonder sometimes if he regretted it, because I watched every single episode multiple times. By multiple, I mean I have watched each season, every episode, at least four or five times over.

David Tennant is easily my favourite Doctor - he gave the Doctor a new dimension - pain and anguish coupled with a cheeky smile, great hair and an awesome suit. David became the Doctor, through and through, to the point that I have seen him in other productions, and struggled with the lack of trench coat sweeping around him as he walked. I loved his interaction with his companions (except Martha. Never really took to her. Do not know why.) and as a whole, David Tennant is my favourite. I bawled my eyes out when his time as the Doctor came to an end.

However.

I have a serious obsession with Season 1. I really liked Christopher Eccleston. I did. But I never really connected with his doctor. I wish he’d had more time as the Doctor, I really do. He could have done so much with the character, could have really made it his own, put so much more into his performance. I am by no means selling his performance short - he was brilliant - but I feel he had room to do more.

And then on to Matt Smith. I like Matt Smith. I didn’t initially. I felt he was trying too hard to be David Tennant. His performance was very Tennant-like in his first appearance, and the end of Tennant’s last episode.

He has done a lot with the character too. The one thing I am conflicted about, concerning the last two seasons is the way they have cut Matt Smith’s doctor off from the former two. On one hand, the whole dragging all the companions into every third episode got old, but I miss Rose and Martha and Donna a lot.

Rant over.

David Tennant SUCKS.  End Rant.

The Doctor Who Argument That I Won

arpphotos:

I frequently win them, but fasterthanmybullets is very argumentative and doesn’t concede to my points easily. She conceded to this point. :)

I am of the firm belief that the Ninth Doctor is the only Doctor who can be seen as sexual. But let’s start my explanation with Eleven:
